Windows phones that will not receive windows phone 8 update, will receive windows 7.8 update.7/3/2012 As we now last days Microsoft launched Windows phone 8. Very good news for windows mobile lovers and users, but bad news for that users that expected an update from windows phone seven to windows phone 8. That won't happen. Instead, windows phone 7.5 users will still get a small update from windows phone 7.5 to windows phone 7.8 that will bring their devices closer to windows phone 8. Samsung Omnia W, Dell Venue Pro, lumia 900 from Nokia and HTC HD 7 are the most important devices that will receive windows phone 7.8 update officially those days. To make the update, users will have to connect the device to a computer. Dell Venue Pro is almost two years old now and was one of the first Windows Phone to hit the market, it is still receiving the latest updates. Several users in India are reporting that their Samsung Omnia W has gotten the Window Phone Tango (7.8) update. As usual, the update has to be downloaded by connecting your phone to a desktop computer.The changes this update brings includes: the ability to add media files in MMS, export and import contacts to and from the phone and other performance improvements. Windows Phone 7.8 brings the Windows Phone 8 user-interface to Nokia's smartphone. Basically, that means you get the new "home-screen" which supports new Live-tile sizes (small-medium or large). This enable you to have exactly the tiles you want on your home-screen and maximise the size of the most important ones. Nokia has released a new video showing the Nokia Lumia 900 running Windows Phone 7.8, which is due to be released very soon for Nokia's flagship smartphone.

Well that's not a new thing , I m very big windows fan intact I love windows phone since Windows ce palm handheld . But Microsoft wants to make money they dont care abt customers n cause this I moved to android u can had any OS installed n also compatible with new OS so no buying new phones.
