How to chose a phone in 2018. There is a big variety of choices, brands, producers and specifications. But is there a main criteria or things to take care of? Phones will be a part of our lives more an more and we seems to become more and more attached to them. As years passed, we saw the evolution of technology, but now in 2018, how do we pick what we need? Especially if our budget is limited?
What criteria to use when picking up a phone in 2018?
I am selling phones on websites like e-Bay and Amazon. I buy them cheaper on auction and sell them back with a bigger price. Is not a big income but, at least you have the chance to test many phones.
Very big was my surprise when I got in my hand an Huawei phone. I usually make transactions with main producers, like Samsung and Apple. I got this Huawei phone that was 2 years old phone and somewhere in same time an LG, same as the Huawei, around 2 years old.
big was my surprise when I saw battery life on both devices was bigger than S7 edge and iPhone 8. Phones that one year ago were in top. Also the 2 years old Huawei and LG, were moving faster then Samsung and iPhone only one year old. That was strange. I started to do some research.
What I found is that, the 2 biggest smart phones producers on the market, are purposely slowing down old devices and purposely making battery drain faster, on old devices.
Specs on most of the phones in the market right now are very tie. So why don't we use this as criteria when picking a phone?
Samsung and Apple will have to lose by doing so in near future. Why would I buy from them a phone, that I can use around one year at a price of one month of my life, when I can buy same quality now from LG...Huawei etc, and to use it 4 years or more?
