There are so may custom ROMs to chose from today but it takes so much time to test them all. I managed here short and concrete, what is the best ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2. If you're a Samsung Galaxy S2 owner then you may have already received an update for your handset, which brings it bang up to date with Android 4.0 also known as Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). If you feel that ICS doesn't offer enough to excite you, you could try one of the raft of custom ROMs available for the S2 instead: I will make the classification by the things the ROMs are missing, bugs and have extra over the official Samsung stock ICS: MIUI [ROM] for Samsung Galaxy S2: The official thread HERE on XDA developers For MIUI Battery lasts like 10% less then Official Samsung ICS. Benchmark test with Quadrant Standard never showed me more then 3200. The official ICS (stock), on same device, without over clock, always around 3900. Conclusion: MIUI ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2 it's more beautiful and smoother, nice interface, very good gaming experience (no lag), but performance on benchmark tests and battery are less then stock ICS. Resurrection Remix ICS [ROM] for Samsung Galaxy S2: The official thread HERE on XDA developers For Resurrection Remix ICS - Battery lasts like 15% less then Stock ICS. Benchmark test with Quadrant Standard never showed me more then 2900. Even over clocked to 1600 MHz with the integrated ROM manager showed 3100. The official ICS (stock), on same device, with over clock at 1400 MHz is around 4200. Conclusion: Resurrection Remix ICS for Samsung Galaxy S2 it's more beautiful and smoother, nice interface, very good gaming experience (no lag), but performance on benchmark tests and battery are less then stock ICS. Liteϟning ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2 The official thread HERE on XDA developers For Lite'ning ROM - Battery lasts more then stock with around 15% Benchmark test with Quadrant Standard never showed me more then 3400. Even over clocked to 1500 MHz (at 1600 MHz it is not stable) with over clocking programs (like Tegrak app) it showed 3600. The official ICS (stock), on same device, with over clock to 1400MHz is around 4200. Conclusion: Lite'ning ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2 it's more beautiful and smoother, nice interface, but not good gaming performance (a lot of lag), performance on benchmark tests are a little less then stock. Battery much better then stock. (Visible) My opinion: PLACE 1 Best [ROM] for Samsung Galaxy2, until the moment I wrote this, is Stock ICS Samsung ROM! (I tested all ROMs, searching for "the perfect one" ...many days...many hours to get to this conclusion). The only reason I don't like it ...is that ..green. But I think if it was blue, I would say the same... I don't like it because is blue... PLACE 2 Best Samsung Galaxy S2 [ROM] for battery, lightning smoothness and beautiful interface, but not for gaming it's Lite'ning [ROM] If you are a mad gamer, I recommend you stock Samsung ICS. With stock ICS you can get 6900 on benchmark test Quadrant Standard, over clocking to 1600MHz with Tegrak and the right settings, launcher. (even if that's not a necessity even for gaming yet) PLACE 3 Best Samsung Galaxy S2 [ROM] for smoothness, beautiful interface, and best ROM customization, good gaming conditions, but not for best battery, it's Resurrection Remix ICS. The battery issue is not such a big deal. You can manage your light sensors from auto to somewhere close to zero. And if you are not A gamer, again, you will still have a big amount of battery left after a day.
