There are many reasons that make us to chose a smartphone. One of them for some people is gaming experience on that certain device.
We put in combat top devices to see how we experienced gaming on each of them.
Let's see the competitors for the gaming experience fight: Samsung galaxy S I9000, Samsung galaxy S2 I9100, Samsung galaxy s3 I9300,Galaxy nexus, LG Optimus 3D, HTC sensation XE, HTC one X,Sony xperia arc S,Sony xperia neo V, Sony xperia S, Iphone 4, Iphne 4S, Nokia Lumia 900, Samsung Omnia W...
All the enumerated devices have some, let's say wild and unusual configuration for a mobile device at that size. (3 to 6 inch) If you remember a while ago, not too long, there were laptops with those specs very top priced.
The first thing that I have to mention is that the apps and specially the games from markets (google play, windows phone market and iTunes) are like three times or more behind the hardware evolution. And why do I say this? Because the same games you play on the newest yet apple smartphone (iPhone 4s) you can very well play on iPhone 3 with 128 mb of ram and a funny 412 MHz ARM 11 processor. You don't believe me? What is the game that seems to require most resources on iTunes? Aralon Sword And Shadow. It works perfectly on iPhone 3 I tested it.
Same with android. What is the game from Google play that seems to require the most resources? Order and Chaos online? Asphalt 7? Max pain? or maybe N.O.V.A. series? Backstab? All of them work fine on Samsung Galaxy S3 but.... but... as well on Samsung galaxy S I9000. Even some of them work better on I9000 then I9100 and I9300. (Order and Chaos)
What makes the difference then? If you are a gamer and you like to have the best device for gaming experience always with you, you sure know you need a device with a bigger display and better display resolution. That is the only thing that makes the biggest difference. Off course it depends a little what games you want to play but there are methods to make all games to work on all devices now... TEGRAK (control GPU) and Chainfire 3D
Still there is one game from Apple that can not be played anyhow on android devices. Aralon Sword and Shadow. So if u like that certain game the best phone to play games on it's iPhone.
Windows phone devices are the last on gaming category. The windows phone market is still under-evolved comparing to iTunes and Google Play.
Now the conclusion. Except for that game that can be played only on apple devices, the best gaming experience I had on HTC one x ,fallowed by Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Both big screens with good resolution. If you don't agree, tell me here why and I'll prove you are wrong.
