Samsung Galaxy S3 Charging problem fix
I discovered that forums all over the place are full with this problem. People complaining that their S3 is having some issues or problems how you want to call them. What's this problem more exactly? Some people are complaining that when charging with original Samsung charger, the one came with the phone, sometimes it takes more then normal to charge sometimes not charging at all. Other people are complaining the same problems with the USB charging too. Is it a factory problem for all galaxy s3? Or only few? What people are crying about: "An unusual problem this, new S3, charged it to 100% when I got it, no problems and used it up over the day. Put it on charge last night downstairs (so definitely undisturbed) at about 30% and this morning when I come down, it is at 70%, not happy! (10 plus hours for 40% charge?!)" Androidforums.com The phone charges EXTREMELY slowly. I'm talking I had it plugged in from 9pm to 6am last night and it only went from 30% to 91%. Used the stock charger. Is this normal (hope not) DroidForums.com So i bought my SGS3 (marble white) a few days ago and it was working perfectly fine. A few days ago my phone suddenly stopped charging. I rebooted the phone and it was charging again. Last night it again stopped charging. I again rebooted but this time it did not fix the problem. I know that the charging port of the phone is not damaged as phone works perfectly fine when connected to a pc via usb cable and charges. And i have never ever plugged in a non-genuine accessory to its micro usb port. Not even a dock! forum.XDA-developers.com And if you search on Google you will find a lot more. Because the XDA now I think this is not "An isolated case"! What took me to this conclusion? The 30+ pages wit people complaining about same problem... And I seen this thing to my S3 too. It has a while (like 2 months) since it stop charging with the charger. I was only using USB charging but, in last days I've noticed a very slow charge. (one night for like 40%) The solutions:
1 Charge your phone only with USB from laptop or computer, but here are some rules:
2 Check the phone carefully because it may have something in the mini USB slot. I found some people that fixed the problem just that easy. 3 Buy one non Samsung charger, compatible and another mini USB cable and mix all combinations. Like: Samsung official charger with non official USB cable and Samsung non official charger with original cable. I found some people that said one of them was faulty. 4 The hardest one and one that I don't recommend to do by yourself . You better take it to a service for this because there is the danger to damage your phone! With a needle, rise a little the pins from the USB slot. May be poor contact between USB wire and mini USB slot. Some people fixed the problem like this. (So did I) 5 Full format wipe...from recovery it may be software problem. I tell you a secret, but I hope it remains only between us. Everywhere is scratching fast the material on S3. Galaxy S2 users may have all ready experienced this kind of usage. Did you noticed how fast is the material scratching around the mini USB slot from the bottom of the Samsung galaxy S3 and how the paint is falling? Take a good look.

For me nr4 worked fine. Looks like the contact of the pins was not perfect. I saw few more fixing by this method. Do you have jelly bean or ICS? It's important.
